Jesus rose again from the dead - John 20
John 20 relates the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
When I read John 20 today, it was struck by the simple truth that we all know - which is that Jesus rose from the dead!
I felt that God told me that He is a God who brings life and who has the power to bring life to the dead.
John 20:30-31 says
30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
Just want to encourage everyone that however dead or messed up you feel your life may be, Jesus can bring you life.
However dead or messed up an area of your life may be - be it your studies, relationships, family, etc, Jesus can bring life.
Mary Magdalene was crying outside the empty tomb of Jesus.
John 20:10- 11
Then the disciples went back to their homes, 11but Mary stood outside the tomb crying.
She must have been really sad and discouraged because she thought that her God was dead.
There are times when we feel like Mary - we are sad and discouraged over circumstances in life.
However, Jesus rose from the dead and came to her.
John 20:16 -18
16Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).
17Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "
18Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.
Jesus is our God who rose from the dead!
I pray:
Jesus come and bring life to our lives.
Jesus come and bring life to every area that seems dead and does not seem to be doing well.
Jesus come and bring life to our families and spiritual family.
Jesus come and bring life to our tribe blog too. =P
