hi family,

Just wanna share something good! =)

On sat during the cell advance I was sharing a bit on how I had some problems at work but God taught me to remember Him and how He is like. It is good to ask God for His perspective on your problems. I shared, among others, that one of the feedback the boss had about me was that I was careless, and also that I was worried whether I will get a pay increase this year.

I just knew yesterday that I had a pay increase and the pay increase was a lot more than what I had expected or asked God.

At that point of time, I was just very shocked and so grateful and I know that this pay increase was really BECAUSE OF GOD AND BECAUSE HE IS GOOD TO ME. This was not because I was smart or even because I worked hard. seriously, most of the lawyers are a lot smarter than me. Also, I did not stay late at work unless I had to because I had urgent stuff and I leave work earlier than the rest of the lawyers. I also more leave than them. And there is the feedback that I was careless. There are mistakes I made at work because I was not being responsible enough.
Yes, so the pay increase is really because of God.

When we read the psalms, it often says that blessings will come when we obey God. This is also something I am learning in my life. So often, I think I will be blessed in my work (in the past it was my studies) when I work hard or when I am smart. I think that it is those smart, eloquent, ambitious people who will go far in their career. However, God's word is that blessings will come when we obey Him.

This reminds me of my university days whereby God brought me to the end of myself in my studies to show me that He is the one who blesses. I worked really hard in my studies and kept doing badly - had straight Cs a lot of times. But when I put God first and though I spent less time on my studies, I managed to do a lot better afterwards and graduate with a good honours degree.

Many times God takes away what we depend on because He wants to show us that He is the One who blesses us. It may be that our intellect, our personality, or even our own hard work and the work of our hands that we believe will achieve sucesss.

God is our God who blesses us. =)

anw I laugh a lot (at my spiritual children most of the time) as Vanessa says because they are really cute and say and do a lot of funny things. haha.
